The Dancing House was completed in Prague in 1996. Its design was a collaboration between Vlado Milunić and Frank Gehry, with the support of Václav Havel. The building stands on a site that was once occupied by a house, destroyed by the 1945 Bombing of Prague by the US. Milunić declared that the new building should be representative of the new Czech lands, "with two different parts in dialogue, like static and dynamic, like plus and minus, like yin and yang."
